The peak of the Republic of San Marino that stands out in the distance welcomes guests of the estate immediately enveloped by the elegance and sobriety of the garden expertly designed by a well-known landscape architecture firm, a perfect combination of respect for tradition and innovation. Clear geometries, authentic materials, in which stones alternate harmoniously with walkways in natural terracotta and the green of the lawn. Nothing ostentatious, it is the landscape and the surrounding nature that dominate.
The garden extends for more than 2000 square meters, articulated on three levels that naturally follow the gentle slope of the hill. An escarpment in the north with typically Mediterranean plants, a flat area mainly with lawn that houses the villa and the swimming pool, and an escarpment in the south with a wilder flavor. All facing perfectly to the south, as wisely designed and organized by our ancestors.
Small paths that climb into the slopes inside the garden are natural locations for small walks, enjoying the scents of rosemary, myrtle, licorice, and getting lost among Mediterranean plants whose colors alternate over the seasons. There are many corners in which to relax and enjoy the surrounding landscape in total peace. Between these two cantilevered balconies created as relaxation areas, natural locations for romantic evening aperitifs or moments of conversation and reading.
The garden is enriched with a small area with fruit trees and a small vegetable garden for exclusive use, to reclaim the times and flavors of the past often forgotten.
The surrounding countryside, accessible from pedestrian gates, surrounds the garden. Olive groves, vineyards, orchards, wheat fields, are the splendid setting for the estate which is spread over 10 hectares all owned. A beautiful walk along paths and dirt roads leads to nearby Longiano, a medieval village with a special flavor.
